The days between Christmas and New Year can feel a little strange. The rush has slowed, routines are off, and many people are already thinking about what they want to change in the new year.
This week doesn’t need to be about big plans or strict rules. In fact, it’s one of the best times to reset gently and take care of yourself without pressure.
You don’t need a full training plan yet. You don’t need to “start properly” on 1st January. Small actions now can make a big difference to how you feel heading into the new year.
A short walk, a light workout at home or even a stretch can help clear your head and get your body moving again. It’s not about burning calories. It’s about reconnecting with routine.
Food doesn’t need to be perfect either. Regular meals, plenty of water and a bit of balance go a long way. There’s no need to undo Christmas or restrict yourself. This week is about steadiness, not extremes.
Sleep is another powerful reset tool. Earlier nights, less screen time and a bit of quiet space can make you feel noticeably better in just a few days.
Most importantly, remove the pressure. You’re not behind. You haven’t failed. You’re simply in between.
Use this week to slow things down, look after yourself and gently prepare for what comes next. When January arrives, you’ll be starting from a much better place, both physically and mentally.
